Job summary

Medipost Pharmacy in Gezina (Pretoria) seeks a self-driven professional for CCMDD Order Processing. You will guide pharmacist assistants, ensure accurate prescription capture, and support QA in a high-volume environment.

Required are a B. Pharm, Grade 12, 2–3 years CCMDD exposure, SAPC registration, and strong Excel skills. Expect a role focused on accuracy, customer queries, and adherence to SLAs in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is required
• 2–3 years knowledge of Medipost operations and CCMDD processes
• Computer literate with MS Office, especially Excel
• Registered with SAPC is mandatory

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical guidance to pharmacists’ assistants regarding Pharmaceutical Practices/GPP and CCMDD prescribing guidelines
• Accurately capture chronic medication prescriptions
• Assist with daily quality assurance processes
• Blind check prescriptions captured by pharmacists’ assistants
• Perform drug utilisation reviews and liaise with health care professionals
• Respond to patient queries promptly and follow up within SLA
• Maintain accurate data capture and compliance with SOPs

Medipost Pharmacy is looking for a professional self driven individual to join CCMDD department in Order Processing . The successful individual will be placed in Gezina (Pretoria)

Primary purpose of the job

• Providing clinical guidance to pharmacists’ assistants regarding Pharmaceutical Practices/ GPP and CCMDD prescribing guidelines.
• Accurate capturing of chronic medication prescriptions.
• Assist with daily quality assurance processes.

Operational and quality performance – Blind checking of prescriptions captured by pharmacist assistants

• Ensure prescriptions are captured by assistant on the correct profile, patient, address, originating facility, contact details and prescribed medication.
• Perform a drug utilisation review on medication prescribed and interact with health care professionals where needed.
• Professional and clinical knowledge required in checking the capturing of prescriptions by pharmacist assistants
• Accurate and quick responses to patient queries and diligence with follow-up work within SLA requirements
• Accurate and complete handling of all profiles worked on as per Standard Operating Procedures

1. Customer service and call handling

• Calls received need to be handled professionally and with very strict confidentiality within SOP’s and SLA
• Accurate and correct information to be provided to the patient and call attempts to be made according to SOP's and SLA requirements
• Problem solving abilities
• Accurate data capturing and instructions to relevant staff if required
• Queries appropriately followed up until finalised

1. Productivity and availability standards met

• Productive and available according to hours as stipulated in contract.
• Adherence to the expectation on blind checking outputs for the CCMDD Order Processing department

EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of Medipost operations/ CCMDD processes 2-3Years

Computer Literate

Microsoft Office (Excel - Intermediate / Advanced)

Need to be registered at SAPC

TRAINING REQUIRED

MedipostApp system training, CCMDD SLA training, company and departmental policies and procedures, Ongoing soft-skills development training(in-house), Eco-Time, ESS

Ability to prioritise large workload

Willingness to work overtime during high pressure periods

Adhere to continues professional development as required by SAPC; completing six CPD activities over a twelve- month period.

The attendance of monthly pharmacy forums as well as weekly product training is highly recommended.

Preferably acting as a Pharmacy Tutor.
