Job summary

Medipost Gezina pharmacy in Pretoria is seeking an experienced LPB Assistant to support the CCMDD OP. You will capture chronic medication prescriptions in line with CCMDD guidelines and clinical protocols, identify potential drug interactions, and review prescriptions for accuracy.

You will adhere to SOPs, maintain housekeeping, and report any dispensing errors promptly. The role requires Matric, Learner Post Basic with SAPC registration, and 1–2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Learner Post Basic - SAPC registered.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in CCMDD operations or pharmacy support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture chronic medication prescriptions in line with CCMDD guidelines and clinical protocols.
• Identify drug interactions or contraindications during capture.
• Review prescriptions for clinical and technical accuracy and escalate/reject as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping and report dispensing errors accurately.
• Monitor system performance and escalate potential issues promptly.
• Adhere to SOPs, policies and procedures; manage time and attendance per company policy.

An opportunity has become available for an experienced LPB Assistant to join our CCMDD OP in Medipost pharmacy Gezina

Primary purpose of the job

· To ensure accurate capturing of chronic medication prescriptions in line with CCMDD guidelines and clinical protocols.

· Identify any drug interactions or contraindications when capturing the prescription.

· To accurately review a prescription in terms of Clinical and Technical guidelines and send to be rejected when necessary.

· Adherence to good housekeeping practises.

· Investigation and accurate reporting of dispensing errors.

· System monitoring, quality of work evaluation, timeous escalation of possible problematic areas.

· Time & attendance management according to Company Policies.

· Understanding of the CCMDD SLA Penalty Matrix.

· Perform any ad‑hoc projects when necessary for the CCMDD Order Processing Department and the Medipost Group at large.

· Performance will be monitored in terms of daily Productivity and Quality targets.

· Ensure daily resolution of Rejections, Reminders and Urgents as per the system Action Diary.

· Adherence to company SOP’s, policies and procedures .
