Placements24 seeks a proactive Catering Operations Coordinator to join its Pretoria team. The role ensures smooth day-to-day catering operations, manages logistics, schedules staff, and liaises with clients to deliver exceptional events across Gauteng.

You will support the operations manager and wider team, uphold health and safety standards, and drive efficiency in service delivery while maintaining high quality across all events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a coordination or administrative role, preferably in catering or hospitality.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to multitask.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and staff interaction.
• Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling or inventory software.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Background in food service or event management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all logistical aspects of catering events, including venue setup, equipment delivery, and staffing schedules.
• Serve as primary client contact for event logistics, confirming details and answering inquiries promptly.
• Manage inventory of catering supplies, equipment, and consumables with stock control.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and scheduling of catering staff.
• Prepare operational reports tracking event success and resources, identifying efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards across operations.
