Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Food & Beverage Catering Coordinator to manage catering services for events and corporate clients in Polokwane. This role blends culinary knowledge, logistical planning, and client service to coordinate menus, plan event flow, and supervise service staff.

You will ensure high standards of food quality and presentation, manage inventory and supplier orders, and enforce health and safety regulations on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering coordination or food & beverage management.
• Strong knowledge of culinary arts, menu planning, and beverage service.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in using catering management software and standard office applications.
• A passion for food, excellent customer service skills, and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all food and beverage aspects for catered events, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Develop creative and appealing menu options, considering client preferences, dietary needs, and current food trends.
• Manage inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, placing orders and monitoring stock levels.
• Supervise catering staff during events, providing guidance on service standards and execution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in food preparation and service areas.
