Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Catering Operations Supervisor to lead our client’s catering team in Pretoria. This hands-on role manages day-to-day service, food quality, presentation, and client satisfaction.

You will supervise staff, control inventory, and oversee event execution, ensuring health and safety compliance and superior guest experiences in a vibrant Gauteng environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering supervision or food service management.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP principles.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for client and staff interactions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules in Pretoria.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train catering staff, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow during service.
• Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service delivery, maintaining strict quality control standards.
• Manage inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing spoilage.
