Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator for a Kimberley-based catering company in Northern Cape. You will manage transportation of food, equipment, and staff to event venues, ensuring timely delivery and seamless setup.

Collaborate with culinary, sales, and events teams; oversee fleet readiness; maintain inventory; optimize routes; comply with safety regulations. The role requires 3+ years in logistics and a valid driver's license, with flexibility for extended hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in logistics, supply chain or related field.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and manage complex delivery schedules.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation of food, beverages, equipment, and supplies to event venues.
• Manage delivery schedules and routes for timely arrival and setup.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and readiness of company vehicles.
• Liaise with event managers and chefs to confirm details, setup and delivery times.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of catering equipment and supplies.
• Ensure proper handling and security during loading/unloading of goods.
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges or disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and health & safety standards.
• Assist in sourcing and managing relationships with third-party logistics providers.
• Contribute to optimizing logistics processes for cost-effectiveness.
