Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and organized Event Logistics Coordinator for Centurion, Gauteng to ensure flawless execution of catering events. You will manage transportation, setup, breakdown, and equipment, collaborating with the sales team, chefs, and clients.

The role requires strong planning, prioritization, and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple events, schedules, and run sheets while maintaining health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event coordination, logistics, or a similar operational role, preferably within the catering or hospitality industry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in using scheduling software and standard office productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all logistical aspects of catering events, from initial planning to post-event wrap-up.
• Manage the scheduling and dispatch of catering teams and equipment to various venues.
• Ensure all necessary equipment, staffing, and supplies are allocated and delivered on time.
• Liaise with clients and venue managers to confirm event details, layout, and requirements.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering stations, bars, and other event elements.
• Maintain inventory records for catering equipment and supplies, reporting any damages or shortages.
• Develop and maintain detailed event run sheets and logistical plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical issues during events.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies at all event locations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and execution.
