Job summary

iStore is looking for an experienced Cashbook Controller to join our high-volume Finance Shared Services team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely reconciliation of cash transactions across the Group.

You will own bank and cashbook reconciliations, suspense accounts, and settlement controls, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies quickly.

Qualifications

• BCom or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years’ cashbook/controller experience in a high-volume finance environment.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and reconcile bank statements daily and monthly.
• Reconcile bank cashbooks for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and clear cash suspense accounts.
• Balance sub-ledgers with the general ledger and investigate variances.
• Assist with monthly consolidated bank reconciliations.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve unreconciled items and settlement differences.
• Coordinate with Accountants, Banks, Sales, AP and AR to resolve queries.
• Ensure internal controls compliance and audit readiness.
• Proactively identify risks and suggest process improvements.
