Job summary

Staff Solutions in East London seeks an Admin Controller to oversee cash handling, banking, and store procedures. You will ensure daily banking, balance cash ups, lock drop safe, manage float controls, and investigate shortages.

You will enforce admin standards, manage filings, sign-off transactions, supervise cash desk staff, perform spot checks, and support customer service. The role requires Matric and retail admin qualification, with 2-5 years cash desk experience.

Qualifications

• Matric Certificate is required.
• NQF 5 Certificate in Retail/Business Administration is required.
• Valid Driver’s License - Code 8 unendorsed (preferable).
• Computer literate: Word and Excel.
• 2-5 years in relevant sales / cashier environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure banking is done daily in conjunction with the Store Manager per procedures.
• Balance all cash ups with the banking.
• Lock the drop safe and keep the key with Admin Controller.
• Check cash float and keep spare keys in the safe.
• Cash floats must balance; Admin Controller responsible for the safe.
• Investigate shortages or over-banking and take corrective action.
