This role is crucial for managing the procurement of non-direct goods and services, ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of categories, including professional services, facilities management, IT, and marketing. Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and procure a wide array of indirect goods and services, adhering to company policies and budget constraints.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers of indirect services, ensuring optimal performance and value.
• Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers, potential cost savings, and innovative solutions.
• Prepare and issue requests for quotation (RFQs) and proposals (RFPs), evaluating submissions based on defined criteria.
• Manage contracts for indirect services, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions and identifying opportunities for renegotiation.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments to understand their needs and provide expert procurement support.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a buyer or procurement role, with a significant focus on indirect services.
• Demonstrated experience in sourcing professional services, facilities, IT, and MRO categories.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal .
• A relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Understanding of South African procurement regulations and best practices.
