Boland College in Paarl seeks a Bricklaying lecturer for the Occupational Certificate: Bricklaying. The role covers teaching knowledge and practical modules, student support, and portfolio oversight in a TVET setting.

The fixed-term post runs 01 January 2027 to 31 December 2029, at 35 hours per week, with duties including assessments, workplace visits, and admin tasks. Salary ranges from R23 443.35 to R30 504.25 monthly, plus 37% in lieu of benefits.

Formación

• Bricklayer Trade Test (Red Seal) is required.
• Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience.
• Computer literacy in MS Office.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Teach knowledge and practical modules for the Occupational Certificate: Bricklaying.
• Facilitate knowledge and practical modules for the QCTO Occupational Certificate: Bricklayer.
• Provide support to students in knowledge and practical aspects of the qualification.
• Set up, monitor and maintain student portfolios.
• Conduct knowledge assessments, tests, and practical assessments.
• Oversee and evaluate student logbooks.
• General administration for delivery of the academic programme.
• Ensure training equipment and workshops are available and in working order.
