Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) seeks a Branch Manager to drive the Retail Mass strategy, grow the customer base and revenue, and ensure high service standards. You will lead, coach and integrate Sales Consultants, while managing day-to-day operations and risk controls.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in insurance or financial services, with leadership experience, CPD compliance and strong stakeholder engagement. Aimed at delivery, compliance, and value creation for clients and partners.

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5.
120 Wealth Management credits or FSCA-recognised qualification.
Class of Business accreditation (annual).
CPD cycles compliance.
Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, including 3 years in leadership.
Service management experience essential.
Experience in insurance sales, credit and lending.

Responsibilities

Drive the branch strategy to grow the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass.
Integrate, standardise and guide Sales Consultants to meet shared goals.
Lead a culture of service delivery to deliver an optimal client experience.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Retail branch, including business planning.
Ensure sales delivery, service standards, compliance, quality and risk management.
Oversee operational people practices for direct reports, collaborating with HR on talent management, performance, development, grievances, leave and capacity.
Prepare monthly sales and service activity reports.
Engage internal and external stakeholders (Area Managers, Business Owners, activation sites, community forums) to build relationships.
