Job summary

Tax Consulting South Africa in George is seeking a reliable Invoice Clerk to join our finance team. You will prepare, process and issue client invoices, maintain billing records and chase missing information to ensure timely invoicing.

The ideal candidate has Matric with Mathematics and Accounting, basic accounting or finance qualification is advantageous, and experience in invoicing or billing. Proficiency in Excel and strong numerical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric with Mathematics and Accounting.
• A qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or finance would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in invoicing, billing or a similar finance administration role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, capture and issue client invoices accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Check billing instructions, client details and supporting documents before processing invoices.
• Ensure invoices reflect approved fees and services rendered.
• Follow up with internal teams on outstanding billing information and approvals.
• Respond to invoice queries and resolve discrepancies with the relevant team members.
• Process approved credit notes and invoice adjustments.
• Maintain complete and organised billing records.
• Assist with billing reconciliations, month-end processes and reporting.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
