Qualifications

• Proven experience as Chef de Partie or similar in high-volume catering or banqueting.
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating exceptional food.
• In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
• Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP).
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A culinary qualification or apprenticeship is highly desirable.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to learn and develop new culinary skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes for banquets and events according to established recipes and standards.
• Manage a specific kitchen station, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper stock rotation.
• Collaborate with the culinary team on menu development and execution for diverse events.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
• Control food costs through efficient preparation and waste minimization.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, maintained, and used safely.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
• Participate in inventory management and stocktaking as required.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in all operational aspects of the kitchen.
