Job summary

Empact Group is seeking a professional banqueting waiter to service guests at venues and catering events. You will set up banquet spaces, relay orders, maintain cleanliness, and anticipate guest needs with a focus on exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of banqueting waiter experience in catering, Matric, and a strong beverage knowledge. Hospitality experience in a hotel environment is an advantage, and you will work in a fast-paced team to deliver memorable dining

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years banqueting waiter experience in a catering environment.
• Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
• Hotel environment experience is advantageous.
• Strong beverage knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet areas.
• Relay food and beverage orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary practices.
• Anticipate guest needs and exceed service expectations.
• Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate order details, allergies and requests to the proper staff.
• Respond promptly to guest concerns.
• Present yourself in a professional appearance.
• Check dishes/kitchenware for cleanliness and report issues.
• Transport dirty dishes to kitchen for cleaning.
• Follow health department regulations and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests.
