Placements24 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a seasoned Head Banquet Chef to lead the venue's high-volume banqueting operations. You will oversee culinary production for corporate functions, weddings and large events, drive menu planning, and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to food safety, and expertise in costing, inventory control, and staff development.

Competenze

Minimum 7 years of progressive culinary experience with at least 4 years in supervisory/leadership roles in banquet operations.
Expertise in high-volume banquet cooking and event execution.
Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
Proficiency in menu development, costing, and inventory management.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
Passion for delivering exceptional food and service for large-scale events in Durban.
