Job summary

Shellrecruitment is seeking a confident, results-driven salesperson to grow its Cleaning Services division in Durban. The role focuses on developing new private-sector business, building recurring commercial accounts, and identifying opportunities across cleaning supplies and services.

Key responsibilities include targeting corporate sectors, prospecting, securing meetings, conducting needs assessments, and closing contracts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' proven B2B sales/business development experience preferred.
• Demonstrable record of personally acquiring new customers and revenue.
• Strong cold-calling/prospecting capability and face-to-face selling confidence.
• Cleaning, hygiene, facilities, consumables, contract services or other B2B service/product sales advantageous.
• Strong negotiation, commercial awareness, CRM and reporting discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build target-account lists across corporate, property, hospitality, retail, industrial and other relevant sectors.
• Prospect through calls, email, networking, referrals and field activity.
• Secure meetings with Procurement, Facilities, Operations and business owners.
• Conduct needs assessments and identify cleaning supply/service opportunities.
• Prepare/follow up quotations and proposals within approved pricing parameters.
• Negotiate and close new business and recurring service/supply contracts.
• Maintain CRM pipeline, weekly activity and revenue forecasts.
• Cross-sell supplies and services where commercially appropriate.
• Coordinate with Tender Administrator on RFQs/tenders and Operations on client handover.
• Support retention and growth of originated accounts.
