Job summary

Mr Price Cornubia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales and maintain service standards. You will manage stock and assist in leadership, training and performance of the team to achieve KPIs.

The role focuses on safeguarding stock integrity, analysing sales data, and executing plans to enhance brand presence and customer experience in a busy Durban store.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 Years' Experience in a Supervisory/Assistant Store Management capacity.

Responsibilities

• Support the store manager in daily operations to hit targets and service standards.
• Stock management: receive, unpack, merchandise, replenish floor, and manage stockroom.
• Monitor stock levels and mitigate stock loss; maintain housekeeping standards.
• Authorize write offs, breakages, recalls and returns.
• Analyse sales and profitability reports to plan actions and increase sales.
• Review product performance and provide feedback to the support centre.
• Identify opportunities to grow sales and brand awareness.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain customer experience processes to meet service standards.
• Lead and develop the team to achieve KPIs; coach and manage performance.

Job Description

Support the store manager in managing the daily operations of a store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets and customer service standards are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

Stock Management:

• Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
• Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
• Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
• Authorise write offs, breakages, recalls and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability:

• Analyse sales & profitability reports in store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance and monitor store expenditure.
• Review and keep abreast of in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.
• Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.

Risk Management:

• Conduct compliance checks through defined processes to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures.

Customer Experience Management:

• Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes to meet customer service standards.

Leadership & Development:

• Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
• Identify & drive training, coaching and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
• Recruit, administer & manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
