Mr Price Group Table Bay in Cape Town is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the store manager in daily operations, stock management and customer service excellence.

You will lead a small team, drive sales, monitor KPIs and ensure compliance with company policies while delivering a great shopping experience for customers.

Formación

• Grade 12 qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory/assistant store management role.
• Understanding of sales & service management.
• Budgeting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Effective communication skills.
• Understanding of retail trade.
• Understanding of brand, customer & product.

Responsabilidades

• Stock management: ensure stock is received, unpacked, merchandised and replenished on the sales floor.
• Monitor stock levels and mitigate stock loss; maintain stockroom housekeeping.
• Authorise write-offs, breakages, recalls and returns.
• Sales growth & profitability: analyse sales and profitability reports and implement action plans to increase sales and monitor expenditure.
• Review product performance and provide feedback to support centre to enhance sales.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.
• Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer experience and uphold service standards.
• Lead and develop the store team, coach performance and drive KPIs.

Job Description

Support the store manager in managing the daily operations of a store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets and customer service standards are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

Stock Management:

• Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
• Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
• Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
• Authorise write offs, breakages, recalls and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability:

• Analyse sales & profitability reports in store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance and monitor store expenditure.
• Review and keep abreast of in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.
• Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.

Risk Management:

• Conduct compliance checks through defined processes to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures.

Customer Experience Management:

• Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes to meet customer service standards.

Leadership & Development:

• Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
• Identify & drive training, coaching and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
• Recruit, administer & manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Grade: 12.
• 2 to 3 Years' Experience in a Supervisory/Assistant Store Management capacity.
• Understanding of Sales & Service Management.
• Budgeting Skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Effective Communication Skills
• Understanding of Retail Trade.
