Econo Foods in Bloemfontein is a fast-growing FMCG retailer focused on frozen foods. We seek an Assistant Retail Store Manager to lead our team, drive sales targets, and deliver exceptional customer service while managing day-to-day store operations.

You will reduce stock losses, maintain world-class store standards, recruit and train staff, handle cash, ensure health and safety, and build positive relationships with customers and suppliers to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Experience in retail store operations.
• Ability to lead and train a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Drive sales by delivering world-class customer service.
• Maintain store standards per merchandising and pricing.
• Assist stock receiving, counts, expiry management.
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team.
• Cash management and banking duties.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and security.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities.
