CTM Africa Welkom in the Free State is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staff scheduling, inventory control and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will contribute to achieving sales targets, manage stock, and uphold health and safety standards in a fast-paced retail environment, with growth opportunities within a dynamic brand.

Qualifications

• Previous retail leadership experience (Supervisor/Assistant Manager)
• Strong understanding of retail operations, sales techniques and customer service principles
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management software
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing retail environments
• Commitment to high standards of store presentation and customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening, closing, and staff scheduling
• Supervise and guide retail staff, ensuring high-quality customer service and adherence to policies
• Manage inventory levels, process stock deliveries, and conduct regular stock takes for accuracy
• Support the implementation of sales initiatives and promotions to drive store performance
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and security procedures within the store
