Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the Retail Manager in achieving the store’s sales, performance, customer service, and operational objectives.
• Take responsibility for the effective management of the store during the Retail Manager’s short-term absence.
• Perform retail management duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Retail Manager.
• Support the team in achieving individual and store sales targets, identifying opportunities to upsell and recommend solutions based on customer needs.
• Assist with daily retail operations, including staffing, merchandising, store presentation, stock control, administration, and operational requirements.

Role Description: The Assistant Retail Manager role at Digicape is a full‑time, on‑site position based within our Roeland and/or Gardens Centre retail store in Cape Town.

The role supports the Retail Manager in overseeing day‑to‑day store operations, leading the retail team, driving sales performance, and maintaining Digicape and Apple retail standards. The Assistant Retail Manager will help ensure the team remains motivated, customer‑focused, and aligned with store targets and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Retail Manager in achieving the store’s sales, performance, customer service, and operational objectives.
• Take responsibility for the effective management of the store during the Retail Manager’s short‑term absence.
• Perform retail management duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Retail Manager.

Qualifications & Minimum Requirements:

• Matriculation (Grade 12) certificate.
• 3–4 years’ relevant retail experience, preferably including retail management or supervisory responsibilities.
• Previous experience in a retail environment, with cellular, consumer electronics, or technology retail experience advantageous.
• Experience working towards sales targets and contributing to overall store performance.
• Strong working knowledge of Apple products and technology.
• Strong retail operations, administrative, organisational, and time‑management skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, conflict‑resolution, and problem‑solving abilities.
