DigicapeSA is seeking a Retail Sales Consultant - Fundi for our Gardens Centre store in Cape Town. The role blends retail sales, customer service, and Apple product knowledge, engaging customers, recommending solutions, and processing sales with reliable support throughout the journey.

The successful candidate will have strong Apple product knowledge, ability to diagnose basic issues, and a customer-focused mindset, contributing to meeting store targets.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' relevant retail, sales, or customer-facing experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Apple products, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and AirPods.
• Good understanding of macOS, iOS/iPadOS, iCloud, Apple ID, and Apple services.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic Apple-related technical queries.

Responsibilities

• Work towards and consistently achieve monthly individual and store sales targets.
• Engage with customers to understand their requirements and recommend Apple products, accessories, services, and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, process sales orders and invoices accurately, follow up on orders and opportunities, and complete daily cash-ups.
• Maintain knowledge of Apple products, services, and technology through ongoing SEED training.
• Provide basic Apple technical support, including hardware checks and software updates.

Role Description:

The Retail Sales Consultant - Fundi role at DigicapeSA is a full-time, on-site position based within our Gardens Centre retail store in Cape Town.

This role combines retail sales, customer service, and Apple product expertise. The Retail Fundi will engage with customers to understand their needs, recommend suitable Apple products and solutions, demonstrate product features, process sales, and provide knowledgeable support throughout the customer journey.

The role also provides basic Apple technical assistance, requiring a good understanding of Apple hardware, software, services, and the wider Apple ecosystem. The successful candidate will be customer-focused, technically confident, and motivated to achieve individual and store sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work towards and consistently achieve monthly individual and store sales targets.
• Engage with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate Apple products, accessories, services, and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, process sales orders and invoices accurately, follow up on outstanding orders and sales opportunities, and complete required daily cash-ups.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Apple products, services, and technology through ongoing SEED and assigned product training.
• Provide basic Apple technical support, including hardware checks, Apple software support and updates, email setup, Time Machine, iCloud, Apple ID, and related Apple services.

Qualifications & Minimum Requirements

• Matriculation (Grade 12) certificate.
• 2-3 years' relevant retail, sales, or customer-facing experience.
• Previous experience in consumer electronics, technology, IT, or Apple-focused retail is highly advantageous.
• Strong working knowledge of Apple products, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and AirPods.
• Good understanding of macOS, iOS/iPadOS, iCloud, Apple ID, and Apple services.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic Apple-related technical queries.
• Ability to perform basic hardware checks and provide Apple software support.
