Qualifications

• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Strong work ethic and passion for cooking.
• Basic food safety knowledge.
• Based in or able to commute to Paarl, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ingredient and dish prep under senior chefs.
• Learn basic cooking techniques across kitchen sections (e.g., garde manger, saucier, pastry).
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Adhere to HACCP food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Manage inventory and stock rotation for assigned sections.
• Clean and organize kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Participate in menu development discussions.
• Follow recipes accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
