Placements24 is seeking a Trainee Chef for a prestigious fine dining restaurant in Paarl, Western Cape. This apprenticeship offers hands-on training across all kitchen areas, with mentorship from seasoned chefs and a focus on learning, creativity, and dedication.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent completed.
• Strong desire to pursue a chef career and apprenticeship.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and cooking of dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Learn and apply advanced techniques under supervision.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock and minimize waste.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to menu planning and development with ideas.
