Placements24 seeks motivated individuals for an Apprentice Chef position in a fine dining setting in Paarl, Western Cape. You will train under a Michelin-aspiring head chef, gaining exposure across kitchen sections and learning classic techniques.

The role requires passion for food, reliability, and the ability to work full-time including evenings, weekends and holidays. Matriculation is required; prior kitchen experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and quality standards.

• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering ingredients.
• Learn to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support senior chefs in menu development and event preparation.
• Ensure consistency in portion control and presentation of dishes.
• Keep work areas clean and organized for a sanitary kitchen.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere in the Paarl kitchen.
