Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Analytical Development Scientist to join its Quality Control and Assurance team in East London. The role develops, validates, and implements analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

You will work with HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, dissolution, and Karl Fischer techniques, ensuring GMP/GLP and ICH compliance. A 3-year pharma background and strong data analysis and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in analytical development or quality control within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation, especially HPLC and GC.
• Strong understanding of method validation principles and regulatory requirements (ICH).
• Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in East London.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for QC and materials.
• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, dissolution, and Karl Fischer.
• Investigate and troubleshoot analytical method issues and OOS results.
• Prepare method validation reports, analytical specifications, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with formulation, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to support product development and release.
• Ensure all laboratory activities are conducted in compliance with GMP, GLP, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
