Job summary

Air Connect is seeking a motivated Airport Customer Service Representative in Durban, South Africa. You will be the face of our company, greeting passengers, assisting with check-in, baggage drop-off and boarding, and providing up-to-date information on schedules and gate changes.

The role requires excellent communication, calm professionalism in busy environments, and the ability to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to stay calm and professional in high-stress situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must pass background check and obtain airport security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome passengers as they enter the airport, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
• Assist passengers with check-in, baggage drop-off, and boarding processes.
• Answer any questions or concerns passengers may have regarding their travel plans.
• Provide information on flight schedules, gate changes, and other relevant airport updates.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with other airport staff to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of passengers.
• Assist passengers with special needs, such as unaccompanied minors or passengers with disabilities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
• Adhere to all airport security and safety regulations.
• Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction and exceed service standards.
