Job summary

Global Airways is seeking four Customer Care Agents for a fixed-term contract from Oct 2026 to Jan 2027 at Cape Town International Airport. You will assist passengers requiring additional support, including elderly, minors, and PRM, ensuring a safe, dignified journey from check-in to boarding.

Based in Cape Town, you will work shifts across early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reporting to the Duty Manager.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate (minimum requirement).
• Ability to obtain a valid Airport Security Clearance.
• First Aid certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet passengers requiring special assistance at check-in, arrivals, or designated meeting points.
• Safely transport passengers using wheelchairs or mobility aids through the terminal to boarding gates.
• Assist with check-in, baggage drop-off, and document verification where needed.
• Escort unaccompanied minors and ensure safety until handover to guardians or cabin crew.
• Support elderly passengers and persons with disabilities through security and terminal navigation.
• Communicate clearly with passengers, families, and staff about assistance needs and flight information.
• Coordinate with airline staff, ground handlers, and security for smooth passenger transfers.
• Assist with boarding and manage priority boarding when required.
• Monitor flight schedules and gates to support timely arrival at boarding.
• Handle wheelchairs and mobility equipment safely for flight loading.
• Respond empathetically to passenger concerns and special requests.
• Maintain accurate records of assistance provided and passenger incidents.
• Adhere to airport safety, security, and hygiene protocols at all times.
• Report equipment faults or hazards to supervisors immediately.
• Provide ad hoc support to Ground Operations as needed.
