Job summary

Premier FMCG is seeking a Customer Service & Logistics Administrator in Paarl to ensure efficient order processing and OTIF delivery across allocated channels. The role focuses on managing customer orders, scheduling warehouse pickings, and maintaining strong relationships with internal plants and customers.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12, 1–3 years FMCG experience, and solid English communication. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook is expected; Power BI knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 is required.
  • ND Supply Chain Management would be an added advantage.
  • 1-3 years working experience preferably in FMCG.

Responsibilities

  • Maximise On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) for allocated channels.
  • Manage orders for customers and process orders in the warehouse.
  • Generate Transport Purchase Orders (TPO) for transporters via TMS.
  • Secure booking date and time at relevant customer.
  • Arrange collection date/time at warehouse to meet booking slot.
  • Track and trace orders from dashboards to delivery.
  • Communicate order fill and delivery date/time to customers.
  • Manage delivery expectations of existing orders.
  • Capture ad-hoc customer queries in CRM (to be implemented).
  • Conduct weekly reports on Case Fill, On-Time and OTIF.
  • Coordinate with plants to check product availability.
  • Raise issues with Supervisors as needed.
  • Proactively manage customer expectations and relationships.

Job Purpose

Ensuring that efficient customer service is established and maintained

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximise On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) for allocated channels.
  • Manage orders relevant to customers and process orders on the relevant warehouse to maximise stock allocation.
  • Generate Transport Purchase Orders (TPO) for specific transporter via TMS.
  • Secure booking date and time at the relevant customer.
  • Arrange collection date and time at the relevant warehouse to meet the customer booking slot for direct orders.
  • Track and trace order from Order Dashboard and Delivery Dashboard to delivery.
  • Proactively communicate to customer order fill and delivery date and time.
  • Manage delivery expectations of existing orders.
  • Capture ad-hoc customer queries on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (to be implemented.)
  • Conduct weekly reports, showcasing Case Fill, On-Time and OTIF.
  • Communicate with plants to gather product availability.
  • Communicate any issues with Supervisors.
  • Proactively manage customer expectations.
  • Create and maintain a strong working relationship with internal plants and customers.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Grade 12
  • ND Supply Chain Management would be an added advantage.
  • 1-3 years working experience preferably in FMCG.
Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Attention to details with high work accuracy.
  • Sound knowledge of Supply Chain and Transport from ordering to delivery.
  • Retail, Wholesale and Speciality knowledge.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good customer relationships both internally and externally.
  • Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) Power BI will be advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
