Sequoia Solutions is seeking a detail-obsessed Accounts Payable Specialist to support a U.S.-based client. This fully remote role operates from Venezuela within the accounting department, handling vendor invoices, payments, and accurate reporting.

You will collaborate with U.S.-based teams, maintain audit-ready AP records, and ensure precise expense coding. A bachelor's degree in accounting, strong English, and hands-on AP experience are required for this mid-level position.

We are currently recruiting a detail-obsessed Accounts Payable Specialist to support one of our U.S.-based clients, working fully remote from Venezuela as part of their accounting department.

About the Role

This role is built for someone who takes real pride in precision. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll manage vendor invoices, process payments, and support accurate financial reporting — work where a single misplaced decimal or missed reconciliation can cascade into real problems. You'll work closely with U.S.-based accounting and operations teams in day-to-day AP workflows that demand meticulous attention to detail, consistency, and zero tolerance for careless errors.

This is not an entry-level role. We're looking for someone who doesn't just tolerate structured, detail-heavy accounting processes — someone who genuinely enjoys them. If you're the type of person who double-checks their own work, catches discrepancies others miss, and takes pride in records that are always audit-ready, this role was built for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and review vendor invoices with meticulous accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines
• Manage Accounts Payable balances and supporting documentation with zero-error standards
• Handle utility invoices (electricity, water, internet, HOA, etc.) with careful cross-checking against prior statements
• Ensure precise expense coding and approvals — every entry correctly categorized, no exceptions
• Support month-end close related to AP activities with rigorous attention to detail
• Reconcile AP accounts and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies, however small
• Communicate clearly and professionally with vendors and internal teams in English
• Maintain impeccably organized, audit-ready AP records at all times

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• C1 English level or higher (professional communication required)
• Previous experience working with U.S.-based companies
• Hands-on Accounts Payable experience
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Demonstrated track record of high attention to detail and accuracy under deadline pressure — this is a core, non-negotiable trait for this role, not just a nice-to-have
• A naturally meticulous, perfectionist approach to numbers and documentation
• Comfortable working in a remote, process-driven environment
• Based in Venezuela and available for a full-time schedule
• Experience in property management, real estate, or multi-location environments is a strong plus but not mandatory.
