Job summary

GrabJobs is seeking experienced Senior and Staff Backend Engineers to join our core engineering team. This pivotal role focuses on building and scaling our platform’s backend infrastructure, APIs, and developer tools.

As a key contributor, you will design high-performance, scalable systems that support our growing user base while collaborating with product managers, frontend developers, and customer success to deliver impactful features.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years for senior level and 10+ years for staff level in backend engineering.
• Deep understanding of developer infrastructure, APIs, databases, and performance optimization.
• Strong product mindset with focus on developer experience and autonomy in a remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale backend systems, APIs, and services for the platform.
• Build and maintain developer interfaces (APIs, SDKs, UIs) to ensure great developer experience.
• Collaborate with customers to understand integration needs and deliver solutions.
• Shape product roadmap through high ownership of technical decisions and architecture.
• Contribute to open-source repos and maintain security, performance, and maintainability.
