Qualifications

• Experienced backend engineer with production systems in startup or SaaS settings.
• Proficient in PHP with Laravel and building scalable REST APIs.
• Strong database experience and writing efficient queries at scale.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps basics, and integrating third-party APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend systems using PHP (Laravel).
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs powering frontend and integrations.
• Manage databases and write efficient, scalable queries.
• Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver features.
• Review code, share knowledge, and raise engineering standards.
• Monitor performance, debug issues, and implement improvements.
• Own backend features from idea to deployment.
