The Association for Facilities Engineering in Athens, Georgia, is seeking a Zone Mechanic I to assist in facilities maintenance and general upkeep. This role involves troubleshooting non-complex facility problems, performing minor repairs, and maintaining accurate documentation.

The position will assist in facilities maintenance, construction, and general upkeep of physical properties. This position is responsible for troubleshooting non‑complex facilities problems and providing preventive, corrective, and predictive solutions for such problems routinely. The role reports information to management concerning the changing conditions of the University’s facilities and equipment in assigned areas and makes recommendations for improvements and upgrades. The position serves as a first responder to trouble calls and emergent needs and maintains appropriate documentation, maintenance records, and timekeeping.
Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
