Position Summary

The position will assist in facilities maintenance, construction, and general upkeep of physical properties. It is responsible for troubleshooting non‑complex facilities problems and providing preventive, corrective, and predictive solutions routinely. This role serves as the first responder to trouble calls and emergent needs.

Responsibilities
  • Make repairs to general building facilities, including electrical maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to electrical components and other mechanical equipment (60%).
  • Conduct regular inspections of designated facilities and equipment, reporting unusual problems to appropriate personnel (20%).
  • Advise management on the condition of facilities and equipment in assigned areas; recommend improvements and upgrades (10%).
  • Maintain documentation and maintenance records, documenting in writing performed actions and timekeeping (5%).
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor (5%).
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience completing basic repairs.
  • Understanding of various trades.
  • Basic understanding of facilities structural components and utility distribution systems.
  • Ability to handle high‑stress situations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic structural and mechanical failures.
  • Ability to perform non‑complex general repairs in various trades.
  • Acts independently with some general guidance.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Competent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands
  • Walking, standing, climbing stairs, stooping, crawling, working with hands above head, working from a standard and/or extended ladder and scaffold, lifting up to 75 lbs.
