Job description

Job Summary

Perform a variety of basic multi-craft tasks in general maintenance and repairs of equipment and buildings, including the installation, repair, and replacement of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Perform building-related basic construction and fabrication work.

This position will interact on a consistent basis with the area maintenance staff and contractors.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic installation, repair, and replacement of components of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform general maintenance and upkeep of buildings; inspect assigned buildings/related fixtures, mechanical equipment, machines, and other structural components.
  • Transport tools, equipment, and personnel to and from the job site.
  • Obtain equipment and supplies required to complete assignments.
  • May coordinate contractor service delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED Certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.
  • Two to three years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of maintenance experience required
  • Basic plumbing and electrical skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and Carpentry
  • Experience in multi-family housing (apartment communities) preferred
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • Must be available for mandatory 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities
Proposed Salary

Pay Range: $18.51-$25.18/hr.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Position requires the ability to operate hand/power tools, motor vehicles (including forklifts), and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment. A basic working knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair, building construction support and maintenance is required. Use of specialized computer applications may be required.
