Job summary

Booz Allen is seeking an Illumio Zero Trust Platform Engineer to lead design, deployment, and optimization of Illumio Core/Edge across on-prem, virtualized, and cloud environments in Reston, VA. You will architect policy models, integrate with SIEM/SOAR/CMDB, and partner with security teams to reduce attack surface.

The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity or infrastructure engineering, strong virtualization and cloud experience, and the ability to obtain DoD 8570 levels within set timelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years of Linux or Windows systems, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 2+ years in developing/deploying solutions for highly regulated environments (finance, healthcare, federal, energy).
• 1+ years in infrastructure automation tools.
• 1+ years in REST APIs, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) or automation frameworks.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willing to take a polygraph exam.
• Associate/Bachelor/Master level IT project experience requirements stated.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, configuration, and optimization of Illumio Core and Illumio Edge across on-prem, virtualized, and cloud environments.
• Support architecting and implementing Zero Trust Segmentation policies and related models.
• Develop Illumio workflows, dashboards, and integration with SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, and automation pipelines.
• Troubleshoot VEN telemetry, policy conflicts, and platform health across distributed infrastructure.
• Collaborate with application owners to onboard workloads and support change management.
