Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Illumio Platform Engineer to lead design, deployment, and optimization of Illumio Core and Edge across on-prem, virtualized, and cloud environments. You will develop segmentation models, runbooks, and dashboards, and integrate Illumio with SIEM, SOAR, and CMDB tools to support enterprise workloads.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in cybersecurity or infra engineering, strong Linux/Windows experience, and the ability to obtain DoD 8570 certifications within

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years in Linux or Windows systems, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 2+ years delivering solutions for highly regulated mission-critical environments (finance, healthcare, federal, energy).
• 1+ years of infrastructure automation tools experience.
• 1+ years of REST APIs, scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• Educational paths aligning with IT project support at various degree levels.
• Able to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level III and DoD 8570.01-M certifications within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and optimization of Illumio Core and Illumio Edge across on-prem, virtualized, and cloud environments.
• Develop segmentation policies, mapping, labeling frameworks, and enforcement boundaries; integrate with SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, and cloud controls.
• Collaborate with security architects to align Illumio policy models with Zero Trust and NIST 800-207 strategies; contribute to standards and playbooks.
• Onboard workloads, validate segmentation plans, and support change management; perform lifecycle management including upgrades and health checks.
