Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a seasoned Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, segmented networks for DoD missions. You will leverage Illumio expertise, TCP/IP knowledge, and policy-driven security to protect critical applications and data across cloud and hybrid environments.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570.01-M readiness, and a proactive approach to embracing evolving cyber threats through robust network design and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Illumio Core or Illumio Endpoint in a production environment.
• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and micro segmentation strategies.
• Experience with cloud environments and hybrid IT infrastructures.
• Experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls with layer 3 and 4 security policies.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, and ACLs.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity certifications within 30 days of start date.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician Level II certifications within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Design, troubleshoot, and deploy network security policies for mission-critical networked applications.
• Use experience in network design and architecture to support defense and counter evolving threats.
