Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Platform Engineer to lead Illumio Core and Edge across on-prem, virtualized, and cloud environments in Washington, DC. You will develop workflows, dashboards, and segmentation models, integrating with SIEM, SOAR, and CMDB while aligning with Zero Trust and NIST guidance.

The role requires security clearance, strong automation skills, and collaboration with security architects to mature policy governance and architectural standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years of Linux or Windows systems, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• 2+ years developing and deploying solutions for regulated environments (finance, healthcare, federal, or energy).
• 1+ years of infrastructure automation tools experience.
• 1+ years of REST APIs, scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willing to take a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, configuration, and optimization of Illumio Core and Illumio Edge.
• Support policy modeling, zero-trust segmentation, and onboarding of workloads.
• Integrate Illumio with SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, and cloud-native controls.
• Troubleshoot performance, VEN issues, policy conflicts across distributed infra.
• Collaborate with security architects to align with NIST 800-207.
