Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Safety Manager I to lead the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites. You will interact with staff at all levels, provide direction to Safety personnel, and ensure professional, confidential handling of safety initiatives.

The role requires developing site-specific electrical safety programs, conducting training, reviewing submittals, and mentoring safety professionals. Travel up to 100% may be required as projects vary location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent required.
• Minimum six years of construction safety experience.
• Or high school diploma with CHST, OSHA 500 and minimum of 10 years of construction experience leading crews and planning work.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight and leadership across multiple project sites.
• Develop site-specific electrical safety programs and activities.
• Conduct safety orientation and electrical training programs.
• Review safety submittals and attend meetings with subcontractors.
• Mentor Safety staff and oversee OSHA reporting and analytics.
• Oversee safety and hazard statistics, trend analyses, and OSHA reports.
• Conduct work area safety audits and major incident analyses.
• Monitor subcontractor activities for safety concerns.
