Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Safety Manager I to provide leadership and support within the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites. You will interact with staff at all levels and may supervise safety professionals.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in safety or related field, a minimum of six years in construction safety, and CSP certification is preferred. Willingness to travel up to 100% and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent.
• Minimum six years of construction safety experience.
• CHST Certification and OSHA 500 are acceptable
• CSP certification preferred
• Current driver’s license required
• Detail orientation to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety-related software

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight and leadership across multiple project sites.
• Lead development of site-specific electrical safety programs.
• Identify training needs and conduct safety orientation and electrical training.
• Review safety submittals and attend meetings with subcontractors.
• Mentor Safety staff and coordinate with senior safety engineers.
• Analyze safety and injury statistics and OSHA reports.
• Conduct work area safety audits and incident analyses.
• Monitor subcontractor safety activities.
