Mortenson Construction is seeking a Safety Manager I to lead the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites. The role requires strong leadership, proactive safety management, and the ability to mentor safety professionals across teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in safety or related field, with extensive construction safety experience; CSP is preferred. Base pay ranges with location variances; travel is up to 100% with strong safety and compliance focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or occupational health is required.
• Minimum six years of construction safety experience.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight, leadership, and direction across multiple project sites.
• Lead project teams in developing site-specific electrical safety programs.
• Identify training needs and conduct safety orientation and electrical training programs.
• Review safety submittals and attend preconstruction meetings with subcontractors.
• Mentor Safety staff including Senior Safety Engineers and Coordinators.
• Oversee documentation and analysis of safety, injury, and hazard statistics and OSHA reports.
• Conduct work area safety audits and major incident analyses.
• Travel up to 100% to support project sites.
