Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a leader for the Zero-G propulsion team in Huntsville. You will guide a multidisciplinary group of fluid analysis and hardware engineers through propulsion component development, testing, and delivery, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal design criteria.

The role emphasizes people leadership, HR lifecycle management, and a culture of safety, collaboration, and innovation across geographically dispersed teams in the Lunar Transportation program.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading and managing teams to deliver complex engineering products.
• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Solid understanding of propulsion and thermodynamics fundamentals.
• 5+ years in a relevant engineering field with propulsion experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Cross-disciplinary collaboration across engineering domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead propulsion hardware design, development, build, and test decisions.
• Develop and oversee the technical plan aligned with customer requirements and internal criteria.
• Own lifecycle of assigned product scope from development to production.
• Manage interdisciplinary engineering tasks for overall system success.
• Ensure quality of engineering outputs and provide direction to the team.
• Coordinate requirement decomposition, systems engineering, and interface management with customers.
