Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a propulsion team leader to define, develop, and deliver spacecraft propulsion components. You will lead engineers across multiple locations, ensuring technical direction and risk management align with customer requirements and internal criteria.

The role emphasizes people leadership, talent development, and adherence to HR policies while delivering high-performance propulsion solutions for lunar and deep-space programs.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading and managing teams to deliver complex engineering products.
• Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Solid understanding of propulsion and thermodynamic fundamentals.
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant engineering field, with significant experience in aerospace propulsion systems.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
• Experience with working on Propulsion, Cryogenic and/or Environmental Control and Life Support (ECLS) components used on deep space vehicles

Responsibilities

• Product Delivery: manage scope, deliverables, and cost-effective execution to meet program objectives.
• Assess and mitigate technical and programmatic risks, and drive outcomes with leadership alignment.
• Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain to meet delivery objectives.
• Track team execution and lifecycle costs for the assigned scope.
• Create frameworks to collect project data and monitor key metrics.
