Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned propulsion engineering leader to guide a diverse team of engineers in delivering propulsion components from design through production. You will own the scope lifecycle, mentor staff, manage risks, and coordinate with vehicle teams and enterprise functions to align with cost and schedule targets.

The role emphasizes people leadership, technical oversight, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace propulsion.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Experience with propulsion hardware design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of propulsion hardware engineers.
• Define and oversee the technical plan for propulsion components.
• Own the full lifecycle from development to production.
• Coordinate with Enterprise functions to drive cost and delivery objectives.
• Communicate risks and mitigation plans to leadership and the team.
