Qualifications

• Experience serving as SME on z/OS Storage and providing hands on support designing and implementing new solutions.
• Familiarity with DASD storage management and tape libraries.
• Experience administering SMS and related storage subsystems.
• Ability to lead storage modernization efforts and drive audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discovery interviews to identify storage strategy, requirements, and regulatory needs.
• Provide consultation on new storage solutions and third-party vendor management.
• Implement, administer, and support z/OS storage infrastructure and provisioning.
• Manage DASD storage, virtual/physical tape environments, and SMS configuration.
• Monitor storage utilization, perform capacity planning, and propose optimization strategies.
• Troubleshoot storage incidents and support backup/recovery efforts.
• Maintain system documentation and compliance artifacts for audits.
