Job summary

NTT DATA North America seeks a Mainframe Storage Consultant to join our Buffalo, NY team. The role focuses on managing mainframe storage, including disk space provisioning, capacity planning, backups, and DR planning within a z/OS environment.

The candidate will perform health checks, automate storage interventions, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and utilize tools such as NetView, SA, CA-OPs, and zOSMF to ensure storage reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with IBM DS8K and DSCLI on mainframes.
• Experience with EMC DLM/DLm storage hardware.
• Proficient in z/OS JCL and job scheduling.
• Knowledge of CA1, Vantage, and Disk skills.
• Experience with mainframe storage monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage disk space across mainframe storage environments.
• Perform health checks and resolve incidents.
• Plan capacity changes and add storage as needed.
• Configure storage, install/maintain software, monitor databases.
• Coordinate with support teams and conduct root cause analysis.
