Job summary

NewGen Technologies is seeking a seasoned mainframe storage administrator to manage daily z/OS storage operations, optimize SMS/DASD usage, and ensure HSM/DLM health across two plexes from Eagan to San Mateo. The role encompasses SCRT/SMF reporting, DR-related tasks, and coordination of hardware patching with a focus on reliability.

Applicants should have EMC/Dell storage experience within the last five years and IBM Mainframe systems programming background.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required and an active USPS clearance.
• Experience with EMC/Dell storage administration in the last 5 years.
• IBM Mainframe systems programming and administration experience within the past 5 years.
• DLM experience is required and DT storage familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily mainframe storage operations using z/OS tools to optimize SMS/DASD utilization.
• Verify HSM/DLM health and space; audit volumes/datasets across both plexes.
• Submit CRs/incidents to maintain reliability and produce SCRT/SMF reports.
• Coordinate hardware patching/upgrades and monitor PowerMax/DLM/Data Domain health.
• Maintain core storage software including DLM Utilities, MF Enablers, Solutions Enabler, GDDR, TapeCopy, Unisphere.
