Job Description

  1. Provide employment services and support, including life skills, job readiness, and job search assistance to youth aged 16-24.
  2. Prepare and maintain accurate participant documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  3. Assess participant needs and competencies to develop individualized education and employment goals.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with participants and community members through effective communication.
  5. Communicate available opportunities regularly and support participants in achieving and retaining employment.
  6. Be familiar with resources catering to diverse demographic needs.
  7. Assist in program orientation, workshops, and front desk coverage as needed.
  8. Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions to promote professional growth and service effectiveness.
  9. Engage in community outreach to increase program visibility and foster partnerships with other organizations.
  10. Maintain consistent contact with participants across various locations to monitor job retention and advancement.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field; at least two years of experience working with targeted populations, or equivalent experience.
  2. Ability to establish trust and rapport with a diverse population.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Flexibility to work occasional extended hours and attend off-site events.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
  6. Understanding of effective Youth-Adult partnership principles.
  7. Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in case management or career development.
  2. Knowledge of workforce center operations, WIOA programs, and employment counseling.
  3. Awareness of barriers faced by disadvantaged individuals.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
